Black Hawaiian Sea Salt is packed with activated charcoal derived from local coconuts. Activated charcoal has a range of benefits for the skin. The ‘activation’ process involves heating the charcoal in a certain way so that it develops tiny pocket that trap chemicals and other substances. This means it is extremely effective at sucking out oils and impurities from the skin, exfoliating, removing blackheads and clearing up acne.
Lemon is reputed to have powerful anti-microbial activity. It can also boost energy and metabolism, a well as uplift the mood. It enhances skin quality, tightens and tones skin, reduces the amount of oil production in skin and hair, and leaves the complexion looking vibrant, healthy, and smooth.
Juniper Berry can help to clear sluggish lymph glands and detoxify pathways, leaving you feeling both stimulated yet relaxed. Also considered one of the most effective essential oils for dealing with anxiety related to inner trauma, exerting a positive effect on the relaxation responses in the brain when it is inhaled.
Cypress has the ability to stimulate lymphatic drainage, helping to flush out toxins and leave your complexion perfectly detoxed and fresh. Thanks to its antiseptic properties, it is great for a thorough cleanse, deeply penetrating pores making this oil ideal for breakouts. As a powerful astringent it provides a toning effect on the skin leaving your complexion tighter, more lifted and bouncy.
Grapefruit has potent antibacterial activity and appears promising in both preventing and treating acne.
Frankincense is a natural astringent, it helps regulate sebum and removes excess oil. It soothes and reduces inflammation and can also help prevent acne forming thanks to the boswellic acids it contains which are capable of killing bacteria associated with acne. As for its anti-aging work, it’s “famous for its wrinkle-reducing superpowers…thanks to frankincense’s cytophylactic properties, it stimulates cell regeneration and also protects older cells from free radical damage.”
Myrrh works as an astringent that strengthens the muscles and smooths the skin while promoting relaxation. It cleanses the pores, and its anti-inflammatory properties prevent bodily toxins from accumulating in the circulatory system. By stimulating circulation, it works to supply tissues with oxygen, which regulates metabolic rate, addresses symptoms of indigestion, and boosts immunity. It is also known to regulate menstruation and to ease its negative symptoms, such as hormonal imbalances that lead to mood swings. Also used to effectively eliminate fungal infections.
Lemongrass relieves muscle aches and body pains including headaches and discomforts associated with arthritis. It tones and purifies the skin while its anti-inflammatory properties relieve redness, itching, and swelling. Due to its antiseptic and astringent activities it can help achieve glowing and evenly toned cleansing pores and strengthening skin tissues. Also known to be beneficial for creating a feeling of being refreshed and renewed, for uplifting negative moods to prevent depression, and for relieving anxiety, stress, irritability, lethargy, nervousness, and insomnia. Paradoxically, it can maintain alertness and boost energy. It can reduce the appearance of cellulite and treat fungal infections as well as acne.
